About this Event:

***This course is in two parts. YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH PARTS FOR CREDIT FOR THE FULL COURSE***

All students should bring their Hunter Education manual, Bowhunter education manual or Trapping Education Manual (depending on course) and you MUST complete the homework, and bring it to class (you will NOT be allowed to stay and take the course if you do not bring the homework with you at the start of the class). These all are available at a NYSDEC office (there is no cost for these), or online at www.bowhunter-ed.com/newyork/manual and https://www.hunter-ed.com/newyork/manual/. You can also request one sent to you by contacting Hunter@dec.ny.gov.

ALSO, students under the age of 16 require parental/guardian permission for handling and use of firearms in this course. Permission Slips can be downloaded from Hunter Education Program Permission Form (ny.gov) BRING THE PERMISSION SLIP TO THE COURSE.

We may be having range time (if bow course), so please bring your bow, arrows (field points ONLY), release, and anything else you would like assistance on. **Please let me know if you do not have a bow so we have enough for folks to borrow for the range-time session.**

Please bring lunch/dinner/snack, a camp chair and drinks/snacks (NO CHAIR WILL BE PROVIDED) for the day. We will have a short break (there are possible places around the area to get food if you need).

REMINDER: You will NOT be permitted to stay for the course, unless you hand in the completed homework prior to course starting.

If you have any questions, please contact Anthony Romeo at 516-909-6988.
