About this Event:
The Dansville Fish and Game Conservation Club would like to invite all New York State licensed youth hunters to join us on our annual youth pheasant hunt. This hunt will be held on DEC property in the town of Hemlock @ the Hemlock/Canadice State Forest property across the road from the Dollar General in Hemlock NY.
The Dansville Fish and Game will provide trained dogs and dog handlers for small groups of youth hunters to experience the joy of hunting ring neck pheasant and wing shooting over a bird dog. The NYDEC Reynolds Game farm will provide us with adult pheasants.
We ask that all youth hunters attend one of our "Hunting With Bird Dogs" safety seminars, held at the Dansville Fish and Game, prior to attending this event.
All attendees are asked to bring their hunting license, bottled water, the shotgun of their choice and proper ammunition for the gun they bring. All hunters and other attendees are REQUIRED to wear a blaze orange vest and head covering! Please come dressed for the weather. Comfortable, waterproof boots are a must as these hunts often extend to more than five miles of walking in heavy field cover.
