About this Event:
VENISON PROCESSING SEMINAR
This seminar is a hands on workshop that takes you step by step from taking a deer in the field to packaged ready to freeze venison. The instructional group includes a professional butcher, experienced hunters, many are certified hunter safety instructors. You should leave this seminar with an understanding of how to safely process and break down a whitetail deer. We will do a light venison lunch after the seminar. HuntFishNY events are offered by NY DEC and a network of partners and instructors who conduct hands-on events, teaching the basics of hunting, fishing, trapping, outdoor safety, wildlife, and other outdoor skills.
DEC may facilitate registration and aid in advertising for HFNY events. If not a DEC hosted or co-hosted event, the logistics and implementation of the event are solely the responsibility of the host.
